The London Fashion Week-adjacent evening was hosted by and in celebration of Martina Bonci - Italy’s multi-award-winning mixologist and bar manager of Gucci Giardino, Florence’s most famous and beloved cocktail destination.

Set prettily on the banks of the Tagus estuary, Terrace is a sleek and spacious restaurant with an open kitchen, where the clatter of knives lets you know that some serious cookery is taking place while you pour your first glass of Douro Valley wine. 

The Limousin takes the provenance and superlative quality of its produce very seriously indeed, and this is something that comes across with stunning intent at La Table du Couvent - quite simply, one of the most thrillingly brilliant restaurants I’ve ever encountered.
